I saw Liz at 'Alan's Truck Stop' in Amesbury MA many times in the early to mid 80s. I think it was called 'The Liz Boardo Show'. Good singer but lacked onstage personality. I really liked another band who played on the local circuit called 'Alana and The Night Riders' who I saw in that same place and time period. They were a family band and Alana sang along with her father Ron Sr. Alana was great and had that genuine country western voice along with lots of personality while on stage. I miss those days.

I worked with Johnny in Billerica, Mass. at a place called The Lakeside Lounge. My band was "Country Revolution". Johnny had an amazing ability to warm up a room with his talent. It was a pleasure to have worked with him share in his music. ......Bill Louvat

Back in 1979 I played bass for Johnny White on a couple of road trips and worked the Penny circuit around the Boston area. One of the greatest yodel acts of all time, Johnny never seemed to get the recognition he so richly deserved. He was a fine singer all the way around and in my opinion, easily rivaled his contemporary WWVA Saturday Night Jamboree regular, yodeler Kenny Roberts. Johnny also appeared as a guest on that radio show many times. This is the first time I've heard him in 40 years and I must say he sounds every bit as good as I remember him. He hasn't lost a lick.

Does anyone know whether this is the Kathy Phipps of the 1990s band, the Daring Angels? Kathy Phipps and Wendy Sobel were terrific as the Daring Angels. The group's compact disc is titled "Turned Around" and it is a must-have item. Phipps, with Greg Greenway, was also excellent on the CD, "Songs of Elmer Hawkes." If this is a match, then the Kathy Phipps in this video fully lives up to John Black's description. The technical quality of the video is not the best but it is still great to have it. I know Wendy Sobel mainly for her association with one of my favorite singers, Didi Stewart. To this day, I can't begin to understand why their 1980s Boston rock band, Girls Night Out, was not signed to a major label contract. The major record label business has not always been known for its good sense. If there was a weakness in the lineup I couldn't detect it. Check out "Love Under Pressure" from the eponymous GNO EP if you can. It is my hope that I am not making a mistaken identity and I apologize if I am. It has been a good number of years; and from the video, I just can't tell. MCMAA in the video's title seems right - Massachusetts Country Music Awards Association.

My father is Mickey Reynolds, he passed in april and I was looking for any videos of him. I stumbled upon this and I just want to say it brought back so many memories and was nice to be able to hear his voice again. Thank you

The drummer's head bobbing has me mesmerized..Does he sing songs with words and yodel like Jimmy Rodgers?He's good .... Is he still alive? I hope so.... We need yodeling more than ever.
